Autumn Meeting 2024
Autumn Meeting – Wednesday, 23 October – Victoria Hall at 7.30 pm.
Please arrive by 7.15pm to enjoy a glass of wine before the meeting.
Our guest speaker will be Taran Matharu from the Elvetham Hotel who will be giving an update on the changes and improvements made to the hotel since the last update to the Society in July 2021.
We will also be announcing the winners of our 2024 Front Garden Awards at the meeting and our thanks go to everyone who has helped over the last few months with this event.
2022 AUTUMN MEETING
Our Autumn members meeting will be held on Wednesday October 12th at 7.30pm in the Victoria Hall. Please arrive by 7.15pm to enjoy a glass of wine before the meeting.
Our guest speaker is Ali Grant who will be giving a presentation on 100 years of the Royal British Legion and we look forward to seeing you then.
Annual General Meeting 2021
Members’ meeting – Our delayed ‘Spring Meeting’ (including the 2020-21 AGM) was held on July 28th and was well attended with approximately 70 members present.
We were treated to an excellent illustrated presentation on the future aspirations of Jastar, the new owners of the Elvetham. The family have ambitious plans for the restoration of the buildings as well as the gardens, including glow worms.
David Turver of WeHeartHart concluded the evening giving an update on the proposal to build up to 10000 homes at Shapley Heath Garden Community which in his opinion and shared by the Heritage Society are deemed to be ‘not required’.
